The Photoshop CS5 Power Tour

Later this month we’re launching a brand new seminar tour: The Photoshop CS5 Power Tour. Designed and taught by Corey Barker and me, the day will be packed with tips, ideas, shortcuts and techniques you can use every day! Here’s what we’re going to cover:

Photoshop Speed Clinic
Learn ways to make your life simpler, including built-in automated commands where Photoshop does the work for you, “hidden” commands that are huge time-savers, Actions and CS5 features such as Content Aware Fill.

Down & Dirty Tricks
Based on the incredibly popular books series by the same name, Down & Dirty Tricks are methods to create advanced looking results in very little time. We’ll create projects that are based on packaging, Hollywood movie posters and print, creating the same looks you see on the internet, on TV, in magazines, and in popular culture every day. These are real world techniques-the same ones used by leading photographers, designers, and special effect masters.

Become a photographer who embraces Photoshop as a creative tool, not just a means for fixing image problems. See how camera and Photoshop can go hand-in-hand as partners in the creative process and how visualizing Photoshop before you take a photo can save you time and boost your creativity.

Restore & Retouch
This class will focus on a series of tools and strategies that can be used for many types of challenges, from restoring torn photos to retouching faces to removing distractions. Learn how to take full advantage of both “traditional” tools such as the Clone Stamp and Liquify, to new Photoshop CS5 methods such as Camera Raw and Puppet Warp to fix, improve and restore images.

CS5 Killer Tips
When it comes down to it, everyone loves to learn tricks to do things more easily and more quickly in Photoshop, and this class is all about that! Through a series of rapid fire tips, tricks and shortcuts you’ll learn a whole collection of time-saving, creativity-enhancing and problem-solving techniques.
