Amazing story! I use a mac to earn a living and I’ve got to say, i’ve been happy since I switched to mac almost 6 years ago. I’ve used a lot of phones but the iphone changed the way i use a phone. Most importantly, I love technology and Steve was someone i could look up to to give me a new OS or a phone or who knows what would he come up with if he was alive. Feels just like loosing a very close friend. Every time I’ll switch my mac on, I’ll remember and miss Steve. Thanks a lot Steve. You certainly knew how to make a difference.

A lovely tribute, Dave. What’s even better is realizing how many thousands and millions of people could write similar stories of life-changing events all due to the magic that was Steve Jobs. Thank you for letting us read yours.

A very fine tribute Dave. And learning more about your background is also quite interesting.
I feel quite saddened by Jobs’ death, and I share your passion for the great Apple products.

I swtiched from a PC to a Mac at my first Photoshop World when I saw all you guys sitting upfront with Macs, and I had to ask myself … why Macs. And now I know.

You are an excellent teacher, and I always enjoy watching your presentations ..

Yes, Mr. Jobs (and co.) really have made a huge contribution to the world, and your story is a relevant example. I’m sure there are many others who have been touched by this man’s genius in similar ways. Personally, I use an Apple product almost everyday. Some say these tools are too expensive, but those who use them for work know their value. Thanks for the perspective.
BTW, Who’s the guy on the cover of MacUser? (joking because it literally took me a moment to figure it out…
